University Scholarship Program

Beginning in 2012, the GS Academy will launch its University Scholarship Program.

This program is designed to assist players applying for athletic scholarships to qualified colleges and universities in the United States.

Applying for athletic scholarships for colleges and universities in the United States can be a daunting task.  In addition to the normal academic requirements, players are required to have a record of their tennis playing and match experience.

NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Colleges and Universities in the United States often time cannot scout potential overseas players and rely heavily on video submissions, regional tournament results and communication with the players coaches.

The GS Academy University Kick Serve Program is designed to not only train players to be ready for collegiate competition, but also assist players in the application process.  This program is for the committed player and parent who want an edge and advantage in applying for US Universities.

Our coaches will train and travel with players to regional tournaments through Asia.  Our coaches will not only be there to advise and train them, but also to video tape their matches.  Returning from the tournament, players will debrief and train with the coaches.  The video will be edited to the required specifications and kept on file to be added to the final application reel to be submitted to the prospective colleges.

On the application side of the program, GS Academy will have a fulltime academic advisor whose primary function is to research, communicate and build a strong relationship with prospective NCAA universities.  Our academic advisor will be responsible for collecting the athletic requirements for the players and advising coaches and parents on the necessary steps to increase their chances of admission to the university and possibly an athletic scholarship.
