Recreation, for fun (8+ years)
Here at GS Academy, we firmly believe that a player that enjoys the sport will learn faster, try harder, and excel beyond their natural ability. While our ultimate goal is to provide the knowledge, resources and training to help each player reach their highest playing potential, it is ultimately up to the player to find the motivation to practice and train hard to get there.
Our recreational programs are designed to build a strong foundation for players to develop tennis skills, knowledge, physical conditioning, maturity and a healthy heart and attitude for the sport. Players also begin to analyse, make adjustments and develop problem solving abilities. Our coaches and programs are there to support, encourage and even challenge them.
Expectations for players are gradually increased throughout our program allowing players to develop naturally and in a healthy environment. At this level, we use “fun” as a tool to motivate players to practice and train.
