What makes working at GS Academy different from other companies?

Nobody on our team works alone.  We recognize that in order to provide our clients with the BEST experience, we all need help so that we can focus on our task at hand.  The entire GS Academy team is expected to give 100% Effort whether it is on or off the tennis court.  Our greatest competition isn’t with one another, but rather to improve in our craft.  As a team, we continually work to strengthen our weaknesses and expand our skill set so each year, we have more to offer our clients.  Our greatest asset are the trusted voices helping to mentor us.

What makes a great tennis coach?

To be a great tennis coach requires more than being a great athlete.  A great coach is able to assess a player and provide them with a challenging and achievable training plan while periodically reevaluating their progress to adjust the plan accordingly.  A great coach is trusted to make time to answer questions.  Even if the truth is not always what they want to hear.  A great coach puts the students’ needs above their own and when the student excels beyond the coach can recommend the player to train under the next great coach.

Above all else, a great coach is a great student that is constantly searching, evaluating and learning new techniques and ideas.  Being a great student of tennis and coaching is important because it reminds the coach the importance of having and being a great teacher.
