Tennis is often times referred to as a marathon, but we wanted to see what tennis looks like in an-all-out sprint!
On January 5th and 6th, GS Academy and Tecnifibre teamed up to host more than 20 players to see the fastest of the fast. In round-robin fashion, our singles players were given 15-minutes a match to score as many points at possible. Our doubles players were given 25-minutes. The top two players/teams played in one final match to determine the champion.
The results are in and I reassure you this is no typo. Carrie Zhu was declared ultimate Champion with 111 points with runner-up Judy Kam scoring 72. In the finals, Carrie proved her score was no fluke by defeating Judy head-to-head to close out the fast rabbit year.
Team Locher featuring mother Ann and daughter Hannah scored 82 points in the round-robin portion of the tournament with the runner up team Judy Kam and Emily Qian close behind them with 81 points. In the finals, mother and daughter showed their tennis bond by securing the fastest doubles team this side of the Yangtze river!
Our tournament wouldn’t have been complete without including the kids in a free promotional tennis workshop filled with fun-filled games to keep both parents and kiddies happy.
Special thanks to Tecnifibre for sponsoring our fun filled tennis experiment. We look forward to cooking up something new for everybody soon. Stay tuned to our tournament page.
